the MBA is a professional masters degree that is usually cosidrred a terminal degree. You can get a PhD in business, org psych, and a few other fields, or a DBA. Most graduate schools do not field sports teams, hence, no varsities

What universities offer a PhD program in Non-profit Management
What universities offer a PhD program in Non-profit Management?
I prefer to go to a traditional school instead of an online program. Thanks.

In addition to nonprofit management, look for a program in Public Administration. My wife got a MA in this from the University of Mississippi and has since managed two non-profits.

USC has many of its graduates, go into the non-profit sector. In particular it's famous Leonard Davis School of Gerontology and school for Public Relations, both of which offer high quality/competitive PhD programs. It's School of Business though deals with money, has many graduates studying how to keep a non-profit business alive without falling into the traps that make or break organizations in the future. But I would look into Gerontology for integrity with older people as many health care administrators earn higher wages having graduated from USC in that field. As you know, health administrators work very hard for their money and are great leaders with lots of concerns surrounding the elderly who get taken advantage of a lot.

What are the recognized and perceived differences between a PhD and a DM in Management
What are the recognized and perceived differences between a PhD and a DM in Management?
I understand the literal differences and what is involved there but what is the pubic perception of the two degrees? Are they really equal ?

I don't think they are equal. The DM does not emphasize research as much as the PhD. It is far easier to get so not worth as much.
2
This public has not idea what a DM is. This would be the first time I have ever heard of such a degree. I don't know enough about it to say one way or the other.

What are the most marketable Phd research areas in Business and management in North America
What are the most marketable Phd research areas in Business and management in North America?
Hi guys I hope you are all doing well. I recently finished my MBA and now I want to do my Phd. I am thinking about combining my business and management knowledge with other areas such as; information systems, technology, innovation etc.). To be honest I do not want to teach after Phd and I really want to go back to industry.

An MBA should be all you need, but a PhD in Information Systems would be very marketable. Yahoo Answers has several hundred categories. You posted in Yahoo Products -> Yahoo Answers. The category is for questions about Yahoo answers - "How do I post a question?" "How do I pick best answer?" "Why do they asterisk out some words?" While you might get an answer to your question here, you'd probably get a much better answer, more quickly, if you posted your question again in a different category. Best wishes!
