PhD in Knowledge Management

PhD in Knowledge Management?
I am interested to do a PhD in Knowledge Management (more from the perspective of business management/quality management). Does anyone know of any good universities that do good research in this field? Is there an index/ranking on KM research where I can refer to? Thanks.

I don't know of a single "knowledge management" PhD program, but that's probably because I avoid any type of management research like I avoid the plague. Anywho, if you want to find a good place to go, sit down and start reading articles on the subject. After you have read enough you will start to get an idea of what aspect of "knowledge management" you would like to go in to, and also figure out whose research interests align with yours. From there the choice is simple, go to wherever the people you want to work with are. Good luck!

Your best course of action will be to look into a doctoral level business management program that has an emphasis on knowledge management. Like the other reviewer mentioned, once your begin to explore the topic of knowledge management you'll see that it touches across many disciplines -- especially philosophy and decision science. There are several online schools that offer a degree in management with a concentration in knowledge management. There are even more brick and mortar schools that have programs centered around learning and knowledge management. Good luck.
